Our house features five spacious ensuite bedrooms, each adorned with a private balcony offering views on the tropical vegetation and sand dunes where you might witness the playful wanderings of a family of Vervet Monkeys. The ground floor includes an expansive garden, a refreshing plunge pool, a cosy dining area, and two extended lounge spaces. Our guests have access to a yoga shala, and a wellness offer providing moments of serenity and relaxation. Our dedicated and experienced staff are committed to ensuring your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Lamu town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, showcasing the best-preserved Swahili settlement in Africa. Lamu Island remains untouched by modern development and is only accessible by plane or boat from mainland Kenya. With no cars on the island, the narrow streets of the village are perfect for leisurely walks or donkey rides.

The house is really beautiful. Lots of communal spaces to hang out, but also private spaces to chill. Flexibility in sleeping arrangements if your group is slightly larger. Beautifully decorated. A room for yoga, with mats / blocks provided, and board game area etc. The staff are amazing, so helpful, went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay, George's cooking is amazing! Made our stay 10/10 - we will be back!

Waridi house is perfectly located in Shela, walking distances from the seafront and restaurants and the old city center of Lamu. The team is super reactive and very helpful to organize meals, airport transfers or even massages.

This is our second time staying at Waridi House, and once again it was great - lovely architecture that lets lots of breeze flow through the rooms, with plenty of relaxing spots to chill. The staff are helpful and the chef made very tasty meals. It is set a bit back from the shore, but that provides a good excuse to wander through Shella’s meandering alleyways. I’m sure we’ll be back!
